Cross Country Skiing

Hiking trails serve as cross country ski trails in the winter. Enjoy the peacefulness of a white winter's day while skiing at a number of forest preserves in Will County. The forest preserves are a new experience in the winter time and can be enjoyed from cross country skis anytime a fresh coat of snow covers the ground.

Rock Run Greenway-I & M Canal Access (Joliet) and McKinley Woods (Channahon) provide access to the 60-mile-long I & M Canal State Trail, owned and managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
