Forest Preserve Police
Enjoy Nature Safely
 
To help keep the Will County Forest Preserves safe and enjoyable for all citizens, the District includes a police department to patrol and protect the preserves.

The Forest Preserve District Police Department provides the following:

Sworn Police Officers to protect forest preserve areas and to assist visitors when needed.
Public Safety Services using mobile units equipped for first aid and fire fighting. Radio communication extends to all public safety authorities throughout Will County.
Information about the preserves, facilities, and programs available within the Forest Preserves District of Will County.

In non-emergencies, call the Will County Sheriff's dispatch, (815) 727-6191 to reach a Forest Preserve District officer.

In an emergency, CALL 9-1-1.... and please give the location and nature of the emergency.
