Runyon Preserve

Runyon Preserve's 21 acres contains wooded hills and floodplains along Fiddyment Creek. Picnickers can opt to use the open play field nearby the shelter for a game of softball or frisbee.

The preserve is named after Armstead Runyon, who was the first permanent settler of Lockport Township, arriving there in October 1830. Runyon laid out the development of north Lockport, which was known then as Runyon's Town. The Runyon family cemetery is located near the preserve.

Runyon Preserve is located at the corner of Hamilton and Morgan, east of State Street and north of Thorton in Lockport.

Summer Hours (April - October) 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. / Winter Hours (November - March) 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
